Content of Courses

CNC Machining Course

Typical Course Completion Time: 225 Hours (+/-, dependent upon prior experience)*

Description
Computerized Numercial Controlled (CNC) Machining is an introductory class that addresses the skills needed to use computerized machining systems.  In addition to covering lathe and mill skills instruction addresses G and M codes, setting of offsets, and loading of software tools and programs.

 

MasterCam Course

Typical Course Completion Time: 250 Hours (+/-, dependent upon prior experience)*

Description
This course trains students to utilize MasterCam machining software.  Students progress from basic to advanced level skills.  Some of the topics covered are geometry creation, tool offsets, tool selection, types of tool paths, code generation and production.  Instruction then progresses to surface and 3-D creation.
